THESE BUILDINGS COULD TOWER OVER NEIGHBOURING HOMES!

While the expansion of the Heywood Distribution Park promises new jobs, Liberal Democrats insist growth must respect residents and strengthen community wellbeing.

Iain Donaldson insisted “Placing vast warehouse blocks beside family homes is flawed planning. The estate’s boundaries should feature low-rise offices, not the scale proposed for the former Department for Work and Pensions Dcs Distribution Centre site at Manchester Road and Queen Elizabeth II Way.”

“The current scheme will dominate homes in Hopwood and the new estate in Birch. Developers should rethink this plan.”
