Residents should decide the future for the former “It’s All In The Image” site!

A truck approaching in the dead of night!

For years, families near the former “It’s All In The Image” site lived with constant noise, heavy trucks, and late-night chaos. Their voices were heard but ignored, leaving them feeling alone and frustrated. They didn’t want the business closed, just moved somewhere it wouldn’t disrupt their lives.

Now, It’s All In The Image has relocated to a proper industrial estate, bringing relief and hope to the community, but as the old site stands empty, one question remains, “How do we protect residents from facing this pain again?”

Liberal Democrat campaigner Andy Lord, who has been fighting for the relocation of the company from the day it outgrew the site, told Focus that “If we don’t act, another harmful business may take over, hurting residents again. The local community must have a real say in the site's future.”

“The Liberal Democrats have launched a petition for the land to be compulsory purchased by Rochdale Council, and a survey asking the community to voice your opinions, to guide the future of our community space. Imagine homes for families, a safe playground where children can laugh, or a health centre offering dental care and more—services our neighbourhood desperately needs. Or perhaps you have a different vision? This is your home, your choice.

Soon, we'll ask for your thoughts through surveys and meetings. Together, we can create a lasting, positive change that protects and uplifts our neighbourhood for generations to come.
