Keeping a track of time - Councillor Dale Mulgrew

Shoppers in the Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre will now have no excuse for receiving parking tickets or missing the bus after action from Balderstone and Kirkholt Councillor - Dale Mulgrew. Clocks have now been fitted in the popular shopping centre and Dale has said - "It's about time too!"

Dale said, "I am delighted that shoppers will now have the benefit of a clock, after a complaint from a Constituent I complained and was told they were looking at ordering them. I hope that my timely intervention has brought forward their plans, it important that residents who maybe don't carry a mobile phone or wear a watch are aware of the time. I know how easy it is to get carried away shopping as my bulging wardrobe illustrates. The clocks go back today (Saturday) so even more important to see the time clearly."

Ms. Jackie Hartley from Balderstone said, "I contacted Councillor Mulgrew after becoming slightly annoyed about the lack of clocks in our Main Shopping Centres, as a senior citizen I rarely wear a watch because time isn't a big deal at my stage of life, but quite often I find that I might miss the bus because I didn't keep track of the time."

The clock has now been mounted in the Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre and Dale is pushing for a similar clock in the Exchange Shopping Centre.
