A letter from Matthew Allen

Now that the dust has settled on the local elections I just wanted to write a quick note to thank everyone for their support.

A total of 434 people voted for me on Thursday 5 May and in doing so ensured that the Liberal Democrats are the second most popular political party in Spotland & Falinge.

I congratulate Councillor Cocks on her victory and I promise that I will hold her and the rest of the Labour councillors to account. I will not stop fighting for better roads, better pavements and improved local facilities.

It is imperative that there are more Liberal voices on the council, alongside Councillor Andy Kelly and Councillor Irene Davidson, to keep fighting for you.
