BOTTLENECK ON HENRY STREET NEEDS SORTING

The bottleneck on Henry Street, due to the council’s failure to re-paint double yellow lines, is causing havoc for people trying to access the patients car park for Nye Bevan House  on Ann Street.

Rifat Mahmood told Focus, “Because the double yellow lines have not been replaced, people are parking on both sides of Henry Street between Milkstone Road and Ann Street, and this is causing chaos as people struggle to drive down this essential part of the One Way system.”

Rifat is calling for the Council to reinstate the double yellow lines so that local people can access the healthcare they need, and also so that residents living around this traffic calming can get to their homes without long delays and difficulties.

Rifat added “It is hard enough to get a medical appointment at the moment, we do not want people missing their appointments because Labour has been too lazy to get this sorted.”

“The double yellow lines are a part of this scheme, we don’t need this looking into, we need action to repaint the double yellow lines where they should be.”
