Andy Lord for Shawclough and Healey

Local campaigner, Andy Lord, has been selected as the Liberal Democrat candidate for Healey Ward in the local elections on 2nd May. Andy is well known in the area for his campaign to get planning conditions for "It's All in the Image" enforced so that years of inconvenience can come to an end.

Andy stated, “Despite being informed of their repeated breaches of planning, Rochdale Council has failed to take decisive action against the company, and now they are considering an application to change planning conditions to suit the company and further inconvenience residents.”

Recent success lobbying Rochdale’s Labour Council to extend double yellow lines in Fallowfield Drive delighted residents. Imagine their dismay when the council announced it won’t happen for at least another year.

Andy added that “Rochdale Council is paralysed by red tape and infighting, leaving residents unheard and frustrated. If elected I will work with residents to cut the red tape and secure swift action to resolve problems like these.”
